Angela Gage pursued a lifelong love of art by attending the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) on a fine arts scholarship.  She attended CCAD for a number of years, until deciding to focus on freelance illustration work allowing her to stay at home and raise her three daughters.  Angela was contracted for freelance illustration work for various companies including CompuServe, Columbus Monthly Magazine, and Lithokraft II Publishing Company.

In 1997, Angela decided to branch out into art instruction.  She began teaching classes at summer art camps for children at the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center, eventually moving into teaching Basic Drawing and Oil Painting courses throughout the year.  Additionally, Angela began to teach classes at JoAnn Fabrics and at summer camps for the Ohio Designer Craftsman Museum.

In the fall of 2002 and 2003, Angela returned to CCAD to join a team teaching techniques for a Retail Illustration class.  Angela instructed students in various pastel techniques.  In the early 2000’s she was an instructor at the Dublin Arts Center and since it opened in 2009…she has taught regularly at the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center in Worthington.

In addition to teaching, Angela has been an active member of various art leagues throughout Columbus including the Delaware Art Guild, the Dublin Art League, the Worthington Art League, the Ohio Pastel Artist League and the Ohio Plein Air Society.  She also enters numerous fine art competitions across the country and has received awards in oil painting, pastels and miniatures.

Angela has three wonderful daughters and four grandchildren.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, walks in the woods, live music, reading, and hedgehogs.  Angela Gage currently resides in Galena, Ohio on the banks of the Little Walnut Creek and the Hoover Reservoir Nature Preserve.
